PICKING GUIDE
Cucumbers

What is it?
We grow several cucumber varieties: Corinto, Diva, Unagi and General Lee. Worth knowing — slicing cucumbers can be used for pickles just like pickling cucumbers.
To harvest, gently part the leaves to find the cucumbers laying underneath. Look for one about eight inches long, find where it connects to the main stem, and carefully cut it free with your scissors.
Cucumbers are mostly water, which is no small thing in a Texas summer, plus fiber and vitamin K for your bones.
How do I clean and store it?
Just rinse your cukes in cool water, let them dry, and they are good to go. Store them in a reusable silicone bag in the fridge.
