For farmers

Learn pick-your-own from a farm that runs on it

Pure Land Farm sells one hundred percent of what it grows to people who come and pick it themselves. Megan Neubauer teaches that model to other farmers through a book and an online course filmed across a full season in these fields. The course is $597 for lifetime access.

How-to

What is inside the course?

Two parts, filmed on the farm across a full season — how to grow the crops, and how to run the business that sells them.

Part 1 — Growing

Soil preparation and regenerative bed prep, seed starting, pest and weed management, then crop-by-crop guidance on beets, carrots, onions, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, squash, melons, cucumbers, blackberries and flowers.

Part 2 — The business

Legal and regulatory requirements, crop planning and volume calculations, finding customers and building an online presence, pricing, policies, and troubleshooting a season while it is happening.

Live Q&A

Monthly calls with Meg and Jack, so you can ask about your own ground and your own numbers rather than working it out from ours.

Who is this for?

If you are hauling to markets and wondering whether there is a better way to sell what you grow, this is the course for you.

Farmers rethinking how they sell

New farmers who want the whole pick-your-own picture before committing ground to it.

Established growers looking for something more profitable than farmers markets or a CSA.

Anyone drawn to agritourism, or worn out by labor-intensive ways of selling.

Farmer Meg wrote the book, too

Pick-Your-Own Farming: Free Yourself from Farmers Markets and Join the Agritourism Revolution, published by Acres USA in 2023.

The book

The case for the model and how to think about it, start to finish. The course is what it looks like in practice.

Eat Like a Farmer

Meg's next book, on sourcing and cooking real food, is out from Chelsea Green in spring 2027.

Questions about the course

Still deciding? Email megan@purelandorganic.com and ask.

How long do I have access?

Lifetime. You pay once and the course is yours, including anything we add to it later.

Do I need to be farming already?

No. Plenty of members are still deciding whether to commit ground to pick-your-own, and the course is built to help you make that call before you spend the money.

What if my climate is nothing like North Texas?

The growing sections are specific to our ground. The business half — pricing, policies, crop planning, finding customers — travels anywhere. The monthly calls are where we work through your conditions rather than ours.

Is there live support?

Yes. Monthly live Q&A calls with Meg and Jack are included for as long as you have the course.

What exactly do I get for $597?

More than ten hours of video filmed across the 2025 season, supplemental documents with links to the equipment and products we use, and the monthly live calls.
